Anthropic has just announced Cowork, a new product that extends Claude Code’s powerful agent capabilities to non-coding tasks. This marks a significant expansion of the Claude Code platform beyond software development.
What is Cowork?
Cowork is described by Boris Cherny, Claude Code engineer, as “our first step towards making Claude Code work for all your non-coding work.” The product leverages the same underlying Claude Agent that powers Claude Code, combined with Opus 4.5.
